Our Goals

The goals of the Action Council are to:

1. Increase the awareness and sensitivity of individuals in the human service fields to cultural issues;
2. Increase the availability of professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds in the human service fields;
3. Provide training and consultation on issues such as service delivery  
4. and policy formulation;
5. Increase the rates of utilization of mental health and other human services among minority consumers; and
6. Improve the quality and availability of these services.
